About Kim Powell
Kim has been ActiveQuote's Partnerships Manager for the past four years, steering the relationships between the company and its panel of Private Health Insurers. This role is multifaceted, encompassing a variety of responsibilities from connecting adviser queries with insurers, monitoring insurer performance and account management, and keeping advisers abreast of any changes within insurers and the broader market
To achieve this, Kim not only stays informed about the dynamics within the insurers and the Health Insurance sector but also keeps an eye on external factors, such as developments within the NHS, and how these could affect customer needs.
Working in close collaboration with the Software Development and Data Science teams, Kim ensures that the company displays an up-to-date panel of insurer products, tailoring the selection based on insightful data analysis.
Before stepping into the role of Partnerships Manager, Kim led the Health Insurance Renewals team and initially started at ActiveQuote as a sales adviser. This journey through various facets of the company, from product sales to supporting existing customers, and understanding both the customer and adviser perspectives, has been instrumental in Kim's success in managing the insurer panel today.
Kim personally holds health insurance with Bupa through ActiveQuote, which has been transformative in managing a long-term condition, Endometriosis. This coverage has enabled Kim to access premier care, select a specialist consultant, and schedule treatment conveniently, significantly improving the management of the condition. This personal experience has fostered a keen interest in women's health and services, leading to involvement in initiatives like the Women’s Health Summit, further enriching Kim's role at ActiveQuote.

Kim’s Experience & Previous Work
Kim embarked on her journey at ActiveQuote as a Protection Sales Adviser in 2013, shortly after completing her studies at the University of South Wales and transitioning from her initial career as a Hairstylist. Her dedication and aptitude quickly propelled her through the ranks, serving as a Health Insurance Renewals Consultant, then as the Renewals and Retentions Team Leader, before assuming her current role as Partnerships Manager.
