Private hospital in Bath offers customer care guarantee

A private hospital near Bath has introduced a new customer care guarantee, in which patients dissatisfied with their stay will receive their money back.

The £30 million CircleBath Hospital in Peasedown St John opened last year and aims to provide ‘five-star hospitality’.

Its new customer care guarantee will apply to anyone unhappy with facilities, surroundings and hospitality, but will not extend to operations and other clinical treatment.

Whilst the guarantee only currently applies to patients paying for themselves, it will soon be available for patients with private medical insurance.

This customer care guarantee is the first of its kind in the UK. So far, every patient treated at CircleBath has said they would recommend the hospital to others.

In contrast to NHS hospitals with poor nutrition and wasted food, CircleBath has its own chef who previously worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Chief executive Ali Parsa said: “Just as John Lewis is never knowingly undersold, we now guarantee that we’ll never allow our patients to be under-served.”
