Working with partners including Confused.com, Gocompare and uSwitch, as well as attracting our own direct customers, we provide and on-line and telephone service for consumers allowing them to tailor quotes, shortlist policies and buy the best and most cost effective levels of cover for them. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and we do not cold call or operate a “hard-sell” business and we pride ourselves on being a pleasure to do business with. Due to natural expansion and internal opportunities, we are looking to grow our Sales Function.


Job Scope:

As an ActiveQuote sales advisor you will be responsible for producing high quality, sustainable business through the process of making warm outbound calls to new customers who have enquired via online market comparisons of Income Protection, Life Insurance and Private Medical insurance policies.

You will be expected to offer outstanding customer service through your expertise and knowledge of the marketplace and offer a unique “advised” recommendation best for your customer’s needs. The role requires individuals that are self-motivated, used to achieving challenging targets and managing customer expectations throughout the lifetime of their policy. 


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Working efficiently as possible to ensure maximum customer contact rates are achieved and being “first to market” where possible whilst ensuring all outstanding tasks are completed on time each day.
  • Provide the highest levels of customer service and advice to produce and retain business.
  • Demonstrating exceptional sales ability, building relationships and rapport whilst carrying out detailed Fact Finds to uncover customer’s demands and needs.
  • Effectively matching customer’s demands and needs to the best protection policies available, and fully explaining to individual customer’s how the recommended policies would benefit them within their specific circumstances.
  • Liaise with our insurer partners to determine best industry policies and practices and handle customer complaints and cancellations effectively.
  • Keep abreast of changes to industry regulations and underwriting criteria of our insurance partners.
  • Having a high regard for compliance within a FCA regulated business and adhering to all legislation and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to, and follow at all times, ActiveQuote’s policy on Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Being self- motivated and contributing to a positive, working environment with a good team spirit and strong work ethic.

Education, Qualifications & Training:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Math’s and English at grade C or above (Essential)
  • CII or IFS Qualifications (desirable)

Previous Experience:
  • Previous experience of working within a competitive, customer focused or proactive sales role (Essential)
  • A proven track record in achieving sales targets and goals (essential).
  • Experience of working within an FCA or regulated sales environment (desirable).
  • Experience of working with a range of financial products, giving advice on the best suited (desirable).

Specific requirements for the role:
  • Able to work 37.5hrs per week on a flexible basis.
  • Normal business hours are between 9am - 8pm Mon-Thurs, 9am – 5.30pm Friday, 10am - 2pm Saturdays.

Job Description:
To plan, create and implement marketing activity to achieve lead generation targets for ActiveQuote across all insurance products.


Job Scope:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing strategy across several insurance product lines for ActiveQuote.

The role holder is responsible for achieving lead generation and ROI targets; reviewing current strategies and performance; and implementing continuous test and improvement programmes in order to develop marketing into a key sales channel.

The role also covers other marketing responsibilities such as online branding and website design, re-branding projects, offline printed materials etc. There is one direct report, the PPC Manager, to manage and develop.

The Marketing Manager will have overall responsibility for marketing and will provide key stakeholders with timely, accurate and insightful performance analysis and reporting.


Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for driving lead generation and customer acquisition via online channels (SEO; email marketing; PPC; content marketing; social media).
  • Responsible for developing CRM and email marketing programmes to support the customer journey for existing customers. Improve conversion, retention and cross-sell rates and demonstrate ROI.
  • Ability to set campaign objectives and test criteria; monitor, measure and report on performance; propose and implement improvements to increase ROI.
  • Write compelling copy across all channels including web, email marketing and off-line.
  • Maintain and update the ActiveQuote website including optimisation of web pages and landing pages.
  • Input into desktop and mobile site design and innovation projects to improve customer experience and conversion.
  • Social media planning and management including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, and engaging with relevant bloggers/ thought leaders.
  • Select and manage external agencies as required.
  • Engage with ActiveQuote partners including leading price comparison websites on joint marketing strategies.
  • Consistently demonstrate a sound understanding of how the TCF principles impact their role, and within the wider Group context including constantly reviewing or raising opportunities to enhance or improve the company’s policies and service.

Education, Qualifications & Training:

  • Degree educated or strong academic background plus relevant experience.
  • CIM/ IDM or similar digital marketing qualification desirable.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Training in graphic design; AMS; marketing analytics; and email marketing packages desirable/ useful.

Previous Experience:
  • At least 2-3 years extensive marketing experience is essential, preferably in financial services.
  • Proven track record of similar role and can demonstrate developing marketing strategy for lead generation, improving campaign performance and ROI.
  • Strong copywriting experience for web and email essential.
  • Experience of managing sizeable marketing budgets is highly desirable.
  • Experience of managing and improving natural search through SEO desirable.
  • Confident and competent in instigating, using and engaging in key social media channels desirable – Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Knowledge:
  • Broad knowledge of marketing covering digital, social and traditional channels is essential.
  • Experience/ knowledge of UK insurance market and products is desirable.
  • Experience of internal compliance processes; financial promotions regulation; and advertising codes of practice is desirable.
  • Experience/ knowledge of the comparison sites/ aggregators desirable.
