Job Scope
As an ActiveQuote Full Stack Developer, you will be working as part of an agile team and be comfortable with modern technologies and tooling. Helping drive both our Front-End and Back-End development and maintenance of our websites and applications, you’ll use best practices to improve the user experience and efficiency of the development teams.
You will be responsible for translating graphical design to technical implementation, developing the user interfaces of our websites and applications, as well as our back-end integrations and functionality. Providing development support to our small team of developers, you’ll use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as reliable, efficient and effective as it can be.
There are flexible working options available for this role, including office and remote working.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Help drive our development process (design, development and deployment)
- Developing and evolving the business’s websites and applications using the latest software development infrastructure and methods
- Work collaboratively with front-end developers, back-end developers, Data scientists and stakeholders
- Ensure coding quality, standards and best practices are met through participating in code reviews and testing frameworks
- Optimise code for maximum speed and scalability
- Produce clear and concise documentation when required
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Follow emerging technologies

Skills & Education
- Extensive experience with .Net in particular C# and MVC
- Experience in .Net Core
- Experience in Azure
- Working within an agile environment
- Experience in back-end .Net Stack and SQL database
- Knowledge of Microsoft development environment (Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server)
- Web Services – RESTful/SOAP
- Experience hand-coding HTML(5), CSS(3) and other UI technologies
- Demonstrated experience of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Angular
- Strong experience of building dynamic and responsive web-based applications/pages
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong experience of industry standard web accessibility, web design, & usability
- Experience and practice of UI performance best practices
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems
- Understanding of good design principles and User Interface Design
- Experiences optimising for Search Engines
- Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written & oral communication as well as presentation skills
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
