Zurich Life Insurance | ActiveQuote
Zurich Insurance Group is one of the largest in the world and operates on a global scale across 170 countries, helping their customers to both understand and protect themselves from risk. Here we outline the main Zurich life insurance policies, their features and benefits.
Types of Zurich Life Insurance
Zurich offers two different types of life insurance:
- Life Insurance
- Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover
Both of these products provide protection and a lump sum if you die or become terminally ill, and are available in level, increasing and decreasing form. They can cover one person or two people jointly, and policyholders must be a UK resident aged 16 or over. When taking out a life cover policy, the maximum age is 83 years old with a minimum one-year term, or 69 for life cover and critical illness with a five-year term. There is no cash-in value at any time and cover will end if you stop paying your premiums.
Zurich Life Insurance
Zurich Life Insurance will provide you and your loved ones with a payout if you die or become terminally ill with less than 12 months to live. This will help you to cover your mortgage and any other financial commitments you may have, as well as leaving some cash for anything your loved ones may need assistance with. A flexible Zurich insurance policy can be built around your needs and your family circumstances, with optional top-up cover available.
Zurich Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover
This policy offers all the benefits of the standard Zurich Life Insurance cover but will also provide protection should you suffer a critical illness which is outlined by the policy. However much cover you would like, and for how long, life insurance with critical illness cover will help absorb any financial implication of falling ill, such as loss of earnings, during the policy term. You can even add cover for your children! So, you can rest assured, should the worst happen, those you love are cared for.
Other Types of Benefit
Zurich life insurance comes with a handful of automatic benefits, as well as optional extras to increase your coverage. Children’s benefit can be added and Zurich will pay up to £25,000 if your child is diagnosed with a serious illness or condition, whereas a multi-fracture cover add-on will see up to £6,000 should you break a bone, dislocate a joint, tear a ligament or rupture your Achilles tendon. Zurich also recognises that things change. That’s why they offer a simple separation benefit should you have a joint policy and get a divorce, and make increasing cover simple if you have a baby, move home, or make any other major life changes.
