What are the minimum and maximum acceptable age at commencement when applying for Aviva Life Insurance +?


You can apply if you're:
a permanent resident of the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Gibraltar

  • aged between 18 and 89 for life cover only
  • aged between 18 and 64 for life cover with a waiver of premium, conversion option or renewal option
  • aged between 18 and 64 for life and critical illness cover
  • aged between 18 and 59 for life and critical illness cover with the renewal option (only available with guaranteed premiums) or the fracture cover option
  • aged between 18 and 74 for global treatment
  • aged between 18 and 85 for increasing cover.

 

What is the minimum policy term for Aviva Life Insurance +?


The policy can last between one and 50 years.

 

What is the minimum sum assured for Aviva Life Insurance +?

 

There is no minimum sum assured, this is linked to the minimum premium.

What are the additional benefits with Aviva Life Insurance +?


Fracture Cover – Fracture cover is available at an extra cost and is available if it hasn't already been included on any other policy that you have taken out with Aviva. However, please note that you can add it if you already have fracture cover on an existing policy with Friends Life and Pensions Limited.
If you have a joint policy, you can add fracture cover for one or both people covered.
If you choose fracture cover we'll pay a lump sum if you suffer one of 18 specified fractures during any 12 month period. We'll pay one successful claim each year. You can make a claim for fracture cover at the same time as you're claiming for any other benefit under the policy.


Aviva won't pay a claim for a fracture that happens within the first seven days after the policy start date. We also won't pay a claim for a fracture that happens when taking part in: mountain biking or BMX; boxing, cage fighting or martial arts; rugby or Gaelic football; horse riding; or motorcycle sport. Other benefits-


Hospital benefit - If during the policy term, any of your children spend more than seven consecutive nights in hospital due to illness or injury, Aviva will pay £100 a night, from the eighth night onwards. Aviva will pay hospital benefit for a maximum of 30 nights per child, over the term of the policy.
This is in addition to any other payment Aviva makes for children's benefit.

Children's death benefit - If any of your children, from age 30 days until their 18th birthday, or 21st birthday if in full-time education, die during the policy term, Aviva will pay £5,000. Aviva will pay the children's death benefit on top of any other payment we make for children's benefit.
Aviva will pay children's critical illness benefit and children's death benefit once for each child.

They can also use the service with regards to their loved ones - for example, if they are worried about their children's health.

 

Mental Health Counselling with Workplace Options - Life can be tough sometimes, so it helps to have someone you can talk to. We provide access to face-to-face or telephone-based counselling for your client, their partner and children aged 14 upwards for minor counselling and 8 upwards for family counselling. Parents living in care homes can also benefit too.

 

Bereavement-

 

Estate Administration through MyDigiExecutor - Paperwork can be confusing which is why Aviva offers a discounted fixed fee legal and probate service. Providing digital and over the phone assistance when your client needs it the most. Expert guidance can be provided at no extra cost to help to register a death


Advanced Funeral Payments - Dealing with the loss of a loved can be a stressful time; to make things easier for your client or their family, we can pay the funds from a death claim straight to the funeral director.
