WPA launch new NHS top-up plan

Published on 17/11/2010

WPA has launched a new ‘NHS Supplementary Insurance’ that helps pay for extras when being treated on the NHS.

With increasingly tight budgets, the NHS cannot afford to provide everything for free. WPA has designed a new generation health cash plan which helps them supplement their NHS care.

Less than 7% of people in the UK have a health cash plan. The NHS top-up plan from WPA will start from 93p a week. The plan will cover NHS car parking, top up cancer drugs, top-up EHIC cover, 24/7 medical helpline, GP surgery, and top-up extras like dental trauma.

Rod Bramston, Managing Director of WPA's individual business comments, “People are becoming more aware of the need to supplement their valuable NHS care.

Nearly 90% of the UK do not have any form of medical insurance and rely totally on the NHS. WPA believes many more people wish to have greater control over their healthcare working together with the NHS making their care even more effective.”
