The underwriting of most of Universal Provident’s products has been brought in house.
Previously provided by Great Lakes, which are part of Munich Re, underwriting will now be provided by Universal Provident’s sister company, Personal Assurance Plc.
The change will affect Choices private medical insurance, IncomeCare protection plan, LivingCare disability insurance and DentalCare insurance. It will not affect Universal Provident’s MortgageCare and travel policies.
Dale Tranter of Universal Provident says, "Underwriting products in house gives more flexibility for our customers, as well as more credibility as a provider. Personal Assurance already insures its own range of insurance plans, so we have many years of relevant experience and expertise.”
Universal Provident do not sell their product through intermediaries, but compare health insurance policies online now to gain peace of mind about your future health.
