Health insurance provider
Bupa has been recognised for its individual protection tele-interview service.
A survey of more than 800 independent financial advisers rated the healthcare provider's confidential service for critical illness and life insurance cover highly with regards to professional sensitivity when it comes to personal health questions.
The research found that 94 per cent believed the customer care to be quite or very good, while more than 80 per cent of respondents said the interviews were arranged within days.
Commenting on the results, Chris Pollard, chief underwriter and head of customer service for
Bupa Individual Protection said: "Clients tell us that having access to the service when it suits them is extremely helpful because they often complete the tele-interview in the evenings and at the weekend."
Last month, the international healthcare company added more than 130 own occupation definitions to its individual income protection package, making it easier for providers to offer
Bupa cover to dentists, surgeons and college lecturers.
