Health Choices for Me is a new modular health insurance plan from Exeter Family Friendly, allowing you to build a policy which suits your needs and budget.
Each Health Choices for Me policy, which can be compared online from September 22, starts with an ‘Essential’ module, which forms the basis of your cover.
Essential Cover includes unlimited in-patient and day-patient treatment, CT, MRI & PET scans, and outpatient surgery. This module also covers the costs of a private ambulance, home nursing, a 24 hour GP helpline, and £250 per night NHS cash benefit.
You can then personalise your health insurance plan by choosing limits within 3 additional modules- Outpatient, Cancer Cover and Manipulative Treatment. You can also add an excess option to bring your premiums down.
Any treatment or drug that is approved by NICE for clinical effectiveness is covered by the additional Cancer Cover module, regardless of whether it has been rejected for NHS use on cost-effectiveness grounds.
Health Cover for Me also offers innovative fixed moratorium underwriting. Under this option, medical conditions from the 5 years before joining the health insurance plan are excluded from cover for the first 2 years of the policy.
However, after this 2 year period is complete, these conditions are then covered, even if they have reoccurred during that period.
Health Choices for Me is available from ActiveQuote from the 22nd September 2011. Compare health insurance policies online now and get instant cover.
