Bupa opens new Spanish office
03/02/2010International health insurer Bupa has announced the opening of a new sales and support centre in Spain.
A major provider of expatriate health insurance, Bupa currently has 800,000 policy holders in 190 countries, with a network of 7,500 hospitals and medical clinics worldwide.
Commenting on the upgrade in southern Spain, international sales director Tim Slee said: "The expansion of our Fuengirola office demonstrates Bupa's commitment to the region.
"As well as continuing to support our customers, brokers and medical providers in Spain and Gibraltar, we can now further extend and develop our reach across Europe, Africa and the Middle East."
Brits living overseas and concerned about the cost of healthcare are advised to take out expatriate health insurance cover to offer protection in the event of illness or injury.
Health Insurance & Protection magazine recently reported that international private medical cover providers are confident about business this year, despite the global economic climate.
