Private medical insurance provider Bupa has become the latest to offer a ‘pick and mix’ version of private health insurance to capitalise on the public’s growing concern over the NHS.
The provider is launching Bupa By You, a scheme which gives policy holders a greater choice of options other than comprehensive cover. Customers can choose which parts of their healthcare to insure privately, from the diagnosis stage to treatment and care. They can also choose from 12 additional plans to cover different illness and injury.
Their plan will benefit customers who are worried about the quality of NHS services, who might want to choose to receive private healthcare at different stages of their treatment.
Bupa also say that people struggling with money will find their ‘modular’ plan more accessible, eliminating the need for comprehensive cover. For instance, those who regularly play sport may only want to insure for potential sports injuries.
Natalie Jane MacDonald said: "It gives a range of options designed to meet the differing needs of individuals and their families throughout their lives. It combines choice, affordability and great service."
Customers are advised to check the terms and conditions of modular policies before signing up, as they are not always comprehensive plans. For more information call one of our advisors free today and discuss your options for private medical care.
