Worries such as work, money matters, health and appearance are contributing to Britain's ongoing battle with chronic fatigue, research suggests.
According to the manufacturer of Pharmaton a clinically proven treatment for daily fatigue one in five people in the UK break down in tears when tired.
What is more, the findings reveal that one in ten Brits admit to falling asleep at their desk due to exhaustion.
Dr Chris Steele, a spokesperson for Pharmaton, said: "A lot of people who are stressed are also physically tired and have a poor diet.
"If you are feeling tired over a long period of time, you might have a medical problem like
anaemia or thyroid problems."
A new study from Mintel revealed that as many as 40 million people in the UK admit to suffering from stress and anxiety.
While the majority of people tend only to be troubled with one or two worries, around a third of British adults have three or more concerns.
