UK expats in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary will be given access to
private medical cover through a new partnership between
BUPA and MediHelp International.
The private medical cover providers have launched a new product for expats in the eastern European states, as well natives of the countries, offering access to world-class healthcare.
Zahal Levy, president of MediHelp International, said: "This partnership is a first in central and eastern Europe.
"We are the only company to offer BUPA
health insurance in all three countries. Our plans are unique, in the Romanian market especially, because our members can benefit of medical services anywhere in Europe."
Those who take out the health insurance package will be able to choose the clinic or hospital they want rather than be restricted to a network chosen by the insurance company.
Furthermore, MediHelp has established partnerships with a number of private medical facilities in all three countries, meaning that customers can go to a clinic and receive treatment without having to pay for it themselves and then wait for reimbursement.
BUPA already has a large international presence, with customers in over 200 countries worldwide.
