Individual Health Insurance
Tesco Health Insurance cover starts with Operations and Procedures. You can then add additional options to build cover which is right for you.
Operations and Procedures covers surgery costs, the cost of treatment requiring an overnight or one-day hospital stay, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and CT, MRI and PET scans.
You can then choose to add Option 1, Consultations and Tests, or Option 2, Additional Therapies, or both Option 1 and Option 2 together.
Tesco Child Health Plan
With the Tesco Child Health Plan your child will be referred to a consultant or specialist straight away. If they advise further treatment is needed and unavailable on the NHS within six weeks from when the treatment should take place, your child will be able to go private.

| 1997 | Prior to the formation of Tesco Personal Finance plc, Tesco had a joint banking venture with NatWest. This ended in early 1997, and Tesco Personal Finance was formed in July 1997. The bank was launched as a joint venture with the Royal Bank of Scotland. |
| 2008 | Until 2008 the company was a joint venture between Tesco and the Royal Bank of Scotland. In July 2008, Tesco announced that they were buying out the Royal Bank of Scotland's 50% stake in the company for £950 million, and the transaction was completed later that year. |
| 2009 | In October 2009 Tesco Financial Services was renamed Tesco Bank. |
